  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare the dough, you can use cottage cheese in briquettes, or if you have grainy cottage cheese, you can rub it through a sieve or grind it using a blender. It is better that there are no large grains left, so the dough will be more homogeneous.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

In a deep bowl, beat two eggs with sugar and salt. I add the prepared cottage cheese and mix the ingredients thoroughly with a hand whisk or mixer.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then add vanillin and two tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix until the mass is homogeneous in consistency. Then add sifted flour and baking powder. I knead a soft dough. First, use a spatula, and when the dough becomes so thick that it is difficult to mix with a spatula, transfer it to a floured work surface and knead with your hands.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

The dough should be soft. I roll the dough into a sausage and divide it into 8 equal parts. You can also divide the dough into 10 or 12 parts. The smaller the buns are, the more they will rise when baked.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

I give each piece a round shape. Forming buns. (If the balls don't turn out even and round, that's okay; they will straighten out during baking.) Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. I grease the tops of the buns with yolk and place them in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. (Bake time depends on your oven)

I tried it. Interesting recipe! I actually still had some baby curds left in containers. So I used them. The dough with them is a bit liquid. The balls spread, but rose. Indeed, it increases several times. The whole baking sheet is a recipe for 10 servings, but I made the balls smaller in size and there were a lot of them ☺️ Airy. 20 minutes 180 and 5 minutes with air for blush.
