    STEP 1

How to bake delicious cookies with walnuts? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Start by preparing the filling. In addition to walnuts, you can use any others you like. Butter should be at room temperature, so remove it from the refrigerator in advance.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Finely chop the nuts with a knife. You can speed up the process by lightly blending the nuts in a blender, or putting the nuts in a bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Add sugar to nuts and stir. Add soft butter.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

And mix the mixture well again so that the oil spreads throughout all the nuts.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Now prepare the dough. Take premium flour and large eggs. Vanillin can be replaced with 1 tsp. vanilla extract or 1 tsp. vanilla sugar.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add the sifted flour to the blender bowl, add the cold butter cut into cubes and beat until fine crumbs form. You can grind everything with your hands, but I have been using a blender to prepare shortcrust pastry for a long time - it’s fast, convenient and my hands are clean.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, egg, sugar, salt and vanillin. Stir with a whisk until the sugar crystals dissolve.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour the egg mixture into the flour crumbs.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Knead soft elastic dough. At first, the dough sticks strongly to your hands, but quickly enough it begins to lag behind both your hands and the walls of the bowl. Roll the dough into a ball.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Divide the dough into two equal parts.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Roll out each part on a table sprinkled with flour into an oval approximately 3-4 cm thick. When rolling, it is important to ensure that the dough does not stick to the table, and for this the table must be dusted with flour.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

Spread the nut-sugar filling over each of the ovals, leaving 1-1.5 cm from the edges.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

Roll each piece of dough tightly along the short edge.

  14. STEP 14

    STEP 14

Using a regular or shaped knife, cut each roll diagonally. You will get beautiful blanks with carved edges.

  15. STEP 15

    STEP 15

Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with oiled parchment at a distance from each other, because during the baking process the cookies will increase in size by 1.5-2 times. Bake the nut cookies in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 10-15 minutes until light golden brown. Make sure that the bottom of the baked goods does not burn. Focus on your oven.

  16. STEP 16

    STEP 16

Cool the finished cookies slightly, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired and serve. Bon appetit!

I recently saw this recipe on my feed and immediately decided that I would save it. Moreover, there are still nuts in stock) I love shortbread, but I don’t like waiting for it to cool in the refrigerator. So this recipe is just right for me. I kneaded the dough in a blender, now this is my favorite way! I added all the other ingredients to the bowl; it’s good that the volume of the bowl allows. Then I simply put the dough on the table and rolled it into a ball. Very comfortably! The dough turned out soft and pleasant to the touch. It rolled out perfectly too, I only lightly dusted the table with flour. I also ground the nuts for the filling in a blender; the result was a very fine, uniform crumb, not dusty. I rolled the roll from the long end, otherwise there would have been too many layers. Cutting the roll is also easy. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes until lightly browned. During this time, the cookies are completely baked, the dough inside is well baked, there is nothing raw. It turned out quite a lot. The cookies are soft and richly nutty. It is not sweet, but there is a slight hint of sugar in the filling. My daughter is absolutely delighted, she could barely drag herself away from the cookies) It tastes best with cold milk, in my opinion. I think any housewife can make these cookies. Try it, it's not as difficult as it seems. Maria, thanks for the great recipe!
