How to make a classic batter for frying fish? Prepare the necessary products. The eggs and milk should be cold, this will make the batter tastier. Take spices to taste, you can get by with just salt. Or take fish spices. I just took ground pepper.

Mix milk and eggs in a bowl. You can stir with a whisk or a simple fork.

Add flour and seasonings and stir.
STEP 4

The batter should be homogeneous, without lumps, thick enough so that it does not immediately flow off the product, but envelops it. Leave the batter for 10 minutes. During this time, the gluten contained in the flour will swell and the batter will be better.
STEP 5

Place the cut fish pieces in a bowl with the batter. Fry the fish in enough oil on both sides until golden brown. Bon appetit!

I liked the classic fish batter; although it is simple, it turns out delicious. I prepared the batter exactly according to the recipe. It turned out thick, but fluid. I stirred it with a regular fork, no lumps formed. The batter adheres well to fish pieces and envelops them from all sides. After frying, the crust does not fall off. By the way, the crust is crispy, very tasty! After the fish lies on the table, the batter becomes soft. I fried pangasius in this batter, it turned out to be the most delicate appetizer! This amount of batter was enough for 1.5 medium fillets.
