Chocolate sausage with condensed milk from cookies and nuts

Even a child can cook, it’s a holiday every day! Chocolate sausage with condensed milk made from cookies and nuts - a recipe from childhood. This simple and quick-to-prepare dessert looks very similar to smoked sausage - adults love it, but children are especially delighted with the sausage.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make chocolate sausage with condensed milk from cookies and nuts? Prepare your food. Take the most common shortbread cookies, such as “Jubilee”, “For tea”, “Baked milk”. Choose the highest quality, natural oil, without the addition of vegetable fats, that complies with GOST. Be sure to remove it from the refrigerator in advance, the butter should become soft.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Grind the cookies in any available way - in a blender, chopper, through a meat grinder or with a regular rolling pin, as I did. To do this, place the cookies in a thick plastic bag and beat it well with a rolling pin. Some of the cookies will crumble into crumbs, and some will remain in pieces. Stop at this stage - then the cut of the sausage will contain imitation fat. If the crumb is too uniform, this effect will not work.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Take a large bowl and pour the crushed cookies into it.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add soft butter to it and stir. At this stage you will not be able to achieve uniformity, but this is not required.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Sift cocoa powder into cookies. Take natural cocoa; a drink like Nesquik will not work. Sifting will make the cocoa more homogeneous and all the lumps will break up.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Take the nuts and chop them into small pieces. You can pre-dry the nuts in a dry frying pan - they will become crispier and more aromatic. Walnuts are best suited for sausage - they are the softest. But you can put in it whatever you like or have in stock. Or don't use them at all. Sometimes I add peeled sunflower seeds to this sausage.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add nuts to the cookie mixture. Pour condensed milk into it.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Mix the mass well. It won't be so easy to do this with a spoon because of the large pieces of cookies, so I mixed everything with my hands.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Take pieces of cling film and place the chocolate mixture on them in the form of sausages. Twist the film, forming tight, even sausages. Put them in the refrigerator. After an hour, take it out and roll the sausages a little on the table until they become round. The oil will have hardened a little and it will be easy to do. Place the sausages back into the refrigerator until completely set. I held it all night.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Remove the finished sausage from the film and roll in cocoa powder or powdered sugar. Cut it into pieces and serve. Bon appetit!

I had never cooked before and never tried this famous classic Soviet-era cookie dessert as a child! I decided to fill this gap. I was choosing from two options for preparing this chocolate sausage with condensed milk from cookies and nuts, prepared by katushafin, and chose this option because it really produces a very realistic cut that imitates pieces of fat. The sausage turned out delicious, serving the dessert on the table looks beautiful and impressive! Next time I’ll try the second option, where the cookies are punched with a blender or through a meat grinder, they turn into crumbs, and as a result the mass for the sausage will be homogeneous, and the sausage will turn out without simulating fat. Maybe I'll like her even more...

I found a recipe for this delicacy from my childhood and decided to make it for my son. I immediately doubled the proportions, thanks for the recipe, I haven’t tried it with nuts before, but it turned out delicious, only I added hazelnuts instead of walnuts.

The sausage turned out very tasty and filling. Nuts added zest to the dish. It’s impossible to tear yourself away, like eating seeds. Thank you for a wonderful and at the same time easy recipe.

I’ve made so many of these sausages already, and I still never tire of being amazed at the variety of recipes. This option suited me the most! There is no need to boil the mixture and no eggs are used. It's just all mixed together. I ground the cookies in a blender, just a few seconds later and they were ready, but I chopped the walnuts into large pieces with a knife. I took good quality oil, because the taste of the product itself depends on its taste. But I don’t like regular condensed milk, so I added boiled milk, it seems to me that it’s even tastier, it gives a pleasant aftertaste. I got two sausages. I used the author’s life hack and rolled the sausages several times as they hardened, they actually turned out more rounded. I liked the fact that there was no oily coating on the surface of the finished sausages, like from a boiled mixture. I rolled chocolate sausages in bitter cocoa, it turned out beautifully. And very tasty! The chocolate taste is clearly felt, as well as the taste of all the goodies included in the dessert. The sausage cuts perfectly and does not fall apart. I really liked it, and my daughter and her guests even more so. Thanks for such a good recipe!

Oh, what a sweet sausage! It occurred to me to add finely chopped dates or prunes to it for a “zest”

I also make this kind of sausage. I really like that its preparation requires a minimum of time and products. In addition, children really like this delicacy. I only take a different cookie - with baked milk, I think it tastes better with it.
