I was looking for a cake with prunes and came across this recipe. A very interesting and beautiful cake. Spectacular! I made a chocolate cake with walnuts using this recipe. I increased the amount of ingredients using the site’s calculator, which is very convenient. I prepared it in a mold with a diameter of 26 cm. I prepared one chocolate sponge cake, but instead of baking soda I used baking powder. I cut the cooled biscuit into cake layers. I have dried homemade prunes, which I poured boiling water over according to the author’s recommendation. I made a cream with the addition of chopped prunes and nuts. I made the glaze just before pouring over the cake. For decoration I left whole prunes and chopped roasted nuts. Before greasing with cream, I soaked the cakes with sugar syrup so that it was very tender) I tried to decorate it like the author. I poured the glaze over the cake, sprinkled it with nuts and laid out the prunes. It took me three hours to prepare the cake. My finished cake was not soaked. As soon as the glaze hardened, I started cutting it. I cut it with a hot knife so that it would be nice and neat. A masterpiece cake! A spectacular, very attractive chocolate cake with walnuts decorated our holiday. It is incredibly tasty, aromatic, tender. The combination of prunes, nuts, chocolate, sour cream is ideal.
