To bake the sponge cake, I used a mold with a diameter of 19 cm. The sponge cake was baked in my oven at 180 degrees for 50 minutes. During this time, it rose well and turned out quite dense, but soft. I put the finished, cooled sponge cake in the refrigerator overnight, wrapping it in cling film. For the cream, I only had 20 percent sour cream. There was no thickener, so I added about a tablespoon of cornstarch when whipping the sour cream. I sent the finished cream to the refrigerator. To decorate the cake, in addition to the crushed sponge cake, I used milk chocolate grated on a fine grater. I placed the finished cake in the refrigerator for several hours. The cake turned out well soaked in cream. Everything about this cake is perfect: sponge cake layers, delicate sour cream and cherries with a pleasant sourness.
