  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to put out chicken with sauerkraut in a pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Any part of the chicken is suitable for cooking; I took a large chicken leg.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To prepare this dish, only real sauerkraut is suitable. No quick, vinegary cabbage will do. If it is sour, then you can fill it with cold water and let it stand for 5-10 minutes. Then drain in a colander or sieve and rinse under cold water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the chicken leg, dry it and remove the bones. Cut the chicken fillet into pieces and place in a bowl. Add tomato paste and chopped garlic to it. Mix everything and leave to marinate for 5-6 hours.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the onions, cut them and place them in a frying pan with vegetable oil. Fry the onion for 5 minutes, stirring.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place sauerkraut in the pan with the onions and stir. Pepper everything, sprinkle with sugar and pour in water. Close the lid and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Be careful not to burn the cabbage. Add a little water if necessary.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and fry over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add bay leaf, chopped garlic and stir.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place the fried chicken pieces on the cabbage. Close the lid again and simmer for another 15-20 minutes until tender, remove from heat and serve.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

You can serve boiled potatoes, herbs and fresh vegetables with chicken and sauerkraut. You can serve on a plate or, like me, in portioned pans. Bon appetit.

I decided to make this recipe for dinner today. Chicken with sauerkraut in a frying pan is a very tasty and easy to prepare dish. And most importantly, it’s budget-friendly. Prepared all the ingredients. My cabbage was sour, and I poured cold water over it for 10 minutes. Then I put it in a colander and let the water drain. Onions were cut into half rings and fried in vegetable oil until golden brown. Added cabbage to the onion, added salt and a teaspoon of sugar, and stirred. I poured 0.5 cups of water and simmered under the lid for 20 minutes. Add water if necessary. I washed the leg and separated it from the bones and skin. Cut it into small pieces. Placed it in a cup and added salt, tomato paste and chopped garlic clove. I left it to marinate for 30 minutes. In another frying pan, I fried pieces of meat in vegetable oil. To the cabbage I added a bay leaf and two finely chopped cloves of garlic. Place the fried meat on top of the cabbage and simmer for another 15-20 minutes. Chicken with sauerkraut is ready. Bon appetit.
