Chicken with dried apricots and curry

STEP 1

How to make chicken with dried apricots and curry? Prepare your ingredients. You can use any parts of chicken - drumsticks, thighs, breasts will do. Vary the set and quantity of spices to your taste. Wash and dry the dried apricots.
STEP 2

Peel and chop the garlic in any way - with a knife, through a press, on a grater. Peel and grate the ginger. Instead of fresh ginger, you can use dry ginger.
STEP 3

Wash the chicken, dry it and cut it into portions.
STEP 4

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over high heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown on all sides. Remove chicken from pan.
STEP 5

Place the garlic in the pan where the chicken was fried. Simmer it over low heat for 1 minute.
STEP 6

Next, add ginger, dried apricots and tomatoes into the pan. I took tomatoes in their own juice; grated tomatoes, diluted tomato paste or fresh tomatoes, which will need to be chopped first, will also work.
STEP 7

Warm everything together for about 7 minutes.
STEP 8

Add spices and salt, stir.
STEP 9

Return the chicken to the pan.
STEP 10

Simmer the dish covered for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and making sure that the sauce does not burn. If there is not enough liquid, add a little boiling water. Serve the finished dish with any side dish. Bon appetit!
