Chicken fillet in batter with cheese in a frying pan
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make chicken fillet in batter with cheese in a frying pan? Very simple! Prepare the ingredients for the batter. It is better to take thicker sour cream, for example 20-25% fat.
STEP 2
Grate the cheese on a fine or medium grater.
STEP 3
Combine cheese, eggs and sour cream in a bowl.
STEP 4
Add sifted flour. Thanks to this, it will be saturated with oxygen, and the batter will turn out more tender.
STEP 5
Mix everything. You should get a fairly viscous mass. If the batter turns out liquid, add a little more flour. Then it will stay on the surface of the fillet and not drain from it.
STEP 6
Add ground black pepper and salt to the batter. If the cheese is salty enough, there is no need to add additional salt to the batter. You can add chopped herbs to the batter to taste, such as dill or parsley.
STEP 7
Prepare the remaining ingredients. If you have frozen fillet, defrost it first. Read about all the intricacies of proper defrosting in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.
STEP 8
Wash the chicken fillet, dry it and cut it lengthwise into 2-3 pieces. Beat each fillet slice with a hammer on both sides.
STEP 9
Spread half of the batter onto each piece of fillet with a spoon.
STEP 10
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Read about how to choose the perfect frying pan, as well as how to choose the right vegetable oil, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Place the chicken pieces in the frying pan, batter side down. Fry the meat for about 10 minutes over medium heat.
STEP 11
Spread the remaining batter evenly on top.
STEP 12
Turn the chicken over and continue to cook for about 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. The exact time depends on the pan you choose, the size of the fillets, and the power of your stove.
STEP 13
Serve the cheese-battered chicken breast hot. Any side dish will do: boiled rice or buckwheat, mashed potatoes or fries, as well as a salad of fresh vegetables. Bon appetit!
