  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to bake chicken drumsticks in the oven deliciously and beautifully? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

To prepare the caramel marinade, you can use an aluminum ladle. Pour salt and sugar into it. Put it on fire. I cook the caramel on the smallest burner on low heat. As soon as the bottom of the ladle starts to heat up, the sugar will begin to melt.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

If you put sugar on high heat, some of it will immediately begin to burn, and the rest will not even begin to melt. The result will be burnt smoke. When the sugar melts at the very minimum, the whole process is easy to control. Using a spoon, move the sugar grains a little into the already melted part.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Despite the minimal heat, the sugar will melt quite quickly. If you leave it too long, it will start to burn. In this case, it is better to undermelt. It’s better to have a little sugar left over than to let the caramel turn into burnt smoke.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Gently pour hot water into the caramel. At the same time, the caramel will sizzle.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Adding water will harden the caramel. Leave the ladle on the fire and stir constantly. Now the fire can be made larger. Bring to a boil.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Boil for 2-3 minutes. During this time, the caramel at the bottom of the ladle will melt. Remove it from the heat and cool until warm.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Pour the resulting caramel sauce over the chicken drumsticks.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Leave the drumsticks to marinate for 30 minutes. Considering that the sauce is quite liquid and flows to the bottom of the bowl, stir the drumsticks periodically.

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

For baking, take any heat-resistant form. It can be metal, glass or ceramic. Grease the bottom of the mold with a small amount of vegetable oil and place the prepared drumsticks. Before placing in the pan, dip each drumstick in the caramel sauce one more time. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the drumsticks. It is not necessary to pour it all out. But let there be a little of it at the bottom of the mold.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for 40-50 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide. The finished drumsticks will be a caramel color.

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

These drumsticks can be served with any side dish. By the way, when baked, you will get a very tasty broth at the bottom of the pan, which you can pour over the side dish. Bon appetit!

Super simple and delicious recipe - something that rarely happens. The crispy crust lured me in, so I decided to cook it exactly according to this recipe. Made caramel sauce. The smell of melted sugar reminded me of my childhood, how we (those who were born in the USSR) cooked sweet sugar in milk or water). When I added water, the caramel froze, which scared me a little, but once the water warmed up, the caramel dissolved. Chicken drumsticks baked in the oven with a crispy crust turned out juicy and very flavorful. Thanks to the caramel sauce, the crispy, slightly sweet crust is obtained. Thanks to the author for the idea!

I wanted to try something new with chicken No matter how much you cook chicken, there is sure to be a recipe that you haven’t tried yet. That's how it is with this recipe: Chicken drumsticks in the oven with a crispy crust. As soon as I saw it, I immediately decided to cook it. It turned out very tasty. Don't worry, the chicken is not too sweet, very tender, with a slight sweet note. These legs can be served with a salad or side dish. I think mashed potatoes would go perfect with it! Thanks for the recipe!
