Chicken drumsticks in the oven with a crispy crust

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake chicken drumsticks in the oven deliciously and beautifully? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this.
STEP 2

To prepare the caramel marinade, you can use an aluminum ladle. Pour salt and sugar into it. Put it on fire. I cook the caramel on the smallest burner on low heat. As soon as the bottom of the ladle starts to heat up, the sugar will begin to melt.
STEP 3

If you put sugar on high heat, some of it will immediately begin to burn, and the rest will not even begin to melt. The result will be burnt smoke. When the sugar melts at the very minimum, the whole process is easy to control. Using a spoon, move the sugar grains a little into the already melted part.
STEP 4

Despite the minimal heat, the sugar will melt quite quickly. If you leave it too long, it will start to burn. In this case, it is better to undermelt. It’s better to have a little sugar left over than to let the caramel turn into burnt smoke.
STEP 5

Gently pour hot water into the caramel. At the same time, the caramel will sizzle.
STEP 6

Adding water will harden the caramel. Leave the ladle on the fire and stir constantly. Now the fire can be made larger. Bring to a boil.
STEP 7

Boil for 2-3 minutes. During this time, the caramel at the bottom of the ladle will melt. Remove it from the heat and cool until warm.
STEP 8

Pour the resulting caramel sauce over the chicken drumsticks.
STEP 9

Leave the drumsticks to marinate for 30 minutes. Considering that the sauce is quite liquid and flows to the bottom of the bowl, stir the drumsticks periodically.
STEP 10

For baking, take any heat-resistant form. It can be metal, glass or ceramic. Grease the bottom of the mold with a small amount of vegetable oil and place the prepared drumsticks. Before placing in the pan, dip each drumstick in the caramel sauce one more time. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the drumsticks. It is not necessary to pour it all out. But let there be a little of it at the bottom of the mold.
STEP 11

Place the pan in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for 40-50 minutes. When baking, use your oven as a guide. The finished drumsticks will be a caramel color.
STEP 12

These drumsticks can be served with any side dish. By the way, when baked, you will get a very tasty broth at the bottom of the pan, which you can pour over the side dish. Bon appetit!
