Canned soup in tomato sauce

STEP 1

How to cook canned soup in tomato sauce? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use any canned food: sprat, saury, mackerel, etc. I have mackerel. You can replace the rice with vermicelli, noodles or other cereals, for example, millet or buckwheat.
STEP 2

Rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
STEP 3

Peel the potatoes and cut into medium cubes.
STEP 4

Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.
STEP 5

Cut the onion into small cubes.
STEP 6

Place potatoes, carrots, onions and rice in a saucepan. Add bay leaf, allspice corns and salt.
STEP 7

Pour 2 liters of water into the pan. You can use the exact amount of water to your liking, depending on how thick the soup you want. Place the pan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring and skimming, for about 20 minutes until the rice and vegetables are cooked.
STEP 8

Add canned fish with tomato sauce and tomato paste to the soup and stir. You can replace tomato paste with tomatoes in their own juice, fresh tomatoes or ketchup. Taste the soup and add salt if necessary. Cook for another 5 minutes at a low simmer.
STEP 9

Remove the pan from the heat, cover with a lid and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
STEP 10

Pour the soup into bowls and sprinkle with chopped herbs. Bon appetit!
