Cake crusts in a frying pan

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to make cake layers in a frying pan? Sift the flour into a deep bowl. Add a pinch of salt for a brighter taste of future cakes. Beat in one egg. I advise you to wash the egg in warm water first. The heat treatment of the cakes is minimal, so you need to be on the safe side.
STEP 2

Add condensed milk to the bowl. Choose high-quality, proven condensed milk. Without vegetable fats and food additives. The composition should contain only two ingredients: milk and sugar. The quality of the condensed milk will ultimately determine the taste of the cakes.
STEP 3

Quench baking soda with lemon juice. Add to bowl. Knead a tight dough, like dumplings. Cover the bowl with a towel and leave to rest for half an hour at room temperature.
STEP 4

Then roll the dough into a sausage and cut it into six equal pieces. Roll out each piece of dough with a rolling pin so thin that it literally shows through. To prevent the dough from sticking, sprinkle your work surface with flour. Cut out the circles. Heat the frying pan, turn the heat to medium. Place the crust to fry for half a minute. I fried it in a non-stick frying pan.
STEP 5

Turn the cake over to the other side and fry until browned. It took me no more than half a minute. The cakes will rise right before your eyes. After baking, they rose at least three times for me! That’s why I advise you to roll out the dough as thin as possible, literally until it’s translucent. Keep a close eye on the cakes while frying. They cook very quickly.
STEP 6

These are the cakes I ended up with. Immediately after frying, you need to put the cakes out on a wire rack to cool so that there is air access from all sides and they do not get wet.
