Cabbage soup with fresh cabbage stew

STEP 1
How to cook cabbage soup with stew and fresh cabbage? To do this, you need to prepare all the ingredients. Vegetables: peel onions, carrots, potatoes and rinse in running water to remove dirt. Remove the top 2-4 leaves from the cabbage head. They won't be needed. Stew can be taken from any type of meat. I'll use pulled pork.
STEP 2
Pour the required amount of water into the pan, put it on the fire and bring to a boil. Cut the peeled potatoes into small pieces. Chop fresh cabbage thinly.
STEP 3
Add prepared potatoes and cabbage to boiling water. Leave to cook for 20 minutes.
STEP 4
At this time, start frying vegetables. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Heat the frying pan until hot and pour in a little vegetable oil. Add onions and carrots and fry for a couple of minutes.
STEP 5
Wash the tomatoes, cut into two parts and remove the stem. Cut the tomatoes into cubes and add to the pan with the vegetables. Next add a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste. Mix everything and fry for another 3-4 minutes. During this time, the tomatoes will release juice and become soft.
STEP 6
Place the prepared roasted vegetables in a saucepan.
STEP 7
Place the stewed meat from the can in a hot frying pan and heat until it melts.
STEP 8
Place the stew into the pan. Add bay leaf for flavor. Add salt and spices to taste. Boil everything together for a couple more minutes and remove the pan from the heat. Cover with a lid and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
STEP 9
Cabbage soup with stewed meat and fresh cabbage is ready! Pour into prepared bowls and serve. If desired, you can add sour cream and fresh herbs. Bon appetit!
