Buns without yeast with kefir in the oven

Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1

How to bake buns without yeast using kefir in the oven? Prepare all products. You can replace kefir with any fermented milk product. You can take old kefir, it’s even better, the more acidic the product, the better the reaction with baking powder will be, which will make the buns fluffier. Instead of baking powder, you can use soda. There is no need to extinguish it, kefir will do it itself.
STEP 2

First of all, turn on the oven to preheat at 200°C, since kneading will not take much time. Sift the flour through a sieve or using a special mug, this will saturate it with oxygen and make the baked goods airy. Add baking powder, salt and sugar to flour. Stir.
STEP 3

In a separate bowl, mix room temperature kefir and vegetable oil.
STEP 4

Pour kefir into flour mixture. Knead the dough. It kneads very well by hand. You don’t need to knead it for a long time, just mix everything well until smooth. The dough should be soft and not sticky to your hands. Flour has different properties from different manufacturers, so be prepared for the fact that you may need less or more flour.
STEP 5

Turn the dough out onto a floured work surface. Form into a long sausage. Divide it into 8-10 equal parts.
STEP 6

Using your hands, roll each piece into a ball.
STEP 7

Line a baking tray with baking paper or a Teflon mat. Place buns on it. Place them at a small distance from each other; they will increase in size during baking.
STEP 8

Bake the buns in the oven at 200°C for about 30-40 minutes until golden brown. The times are approximate, use your oven as a guide.
