Breadsticks made with kefir and dry yeast with sea salt

Crispy salty sticks for a snack, on the go or just because! Grissini are thin breadsticks about the size of a pencil. They are very convenient to prepare when, after baking pies or pies, you have some yeast dough left. The dough for grissini can be different - with or without the addition of butter or vegetable oil and eggs, but today I offer a more dietary option. Try it - very tasty!

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Required Ingredients

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Mix flour with kefir, but do not knead yet

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Leave for autolysis for 15-20 minutes - this process promotes the passive formation of gluten in flour

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Now add sugar, salt and dry yeast and knead our dough

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

It turns out soft and sticky

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Cover the dough with a towel and place in a warm place for 1 hour, it should increase by about 2 times

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Now divide the dough into small pieces approximately the size of small dumplings

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

We stretch each piece into a thin flagellum. The thinner the grissini, the crispier they will be. Slightly thicker sticks will be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Place on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil or lined with baking paper

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Spray with water from a spray bottle and sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Instead of salt, you can take sesame seeds, flax seeds, poppy seeds, etc.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Bake at 220 degrees for about 15 minutes. The more rosy sticks were the first to fly apart)

  12. STEP 12

    STEP 12

If you add more sugar to the dough, you will get something similar to a sweet straw in taste.

  13. STEP 13

    STEP 13

    Enjoy the crunch!

An excellent substitute for bread, and something to nibble on with tea...great idea. Check out the recipe for Italian bread, which will also successfully replace bread.
