    How to quickly and tasty cook mackerel? Prepare your food. If the mackerel has been frozen, defrost it first. Then clean it and gut it, especially carefully remove the black film inside the belly, it is very bitter. Rinse the fish well and dry with paper towels.

    Pour 1.5 liters of water into the pan, add salt and bay leaf. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and add this squeezed half into the water. Wash the dill, dry and finely chop. Also throw it into the pan. I used frozen. In general, use greens according to your taste. Place the pan on the heat and bring it to a boil over high heat.

    Meanwhile, cut the mackerel into portions. You can cook a whole carcass or larger pieces, depending on what purpose you want to use it for.

I really love mackerel. For me this is one of the most delicious types of fish. I like it baked, salted, and smoked. But I tried it boiled for the first time. I have always associated boiled fish with the first course, but not with the second. Now, having prepared mackerel according to the recipe “Boiled mackerel quickly and tasty,” I changed my mind. It turns out really quickly and very tasty. For three not very large fish, I used one lemon and two liters of water. I had very little dill, so I didn’t add it. I didn’t cut the mackerel into pieces, I left it whole. It took me 15 minutes to cook. The mackerel turned out to be very juicy, tender, with a pleasant lemon flavor. I served it with mashed potatoes. Thanks a lot! This recipe made me a great dinner.
