    Then cut these slices crosswise into cubes or sticks of the size that suits you, depending on what you want to use the crackers for: for soup, broth, salad or as a snack for beer, for example.

    Place the black bread cubes in a baking dish. Place the crackers in a preheated room at 160-180 degrees and bake them for 20 minutes. You don’t need to bake too much right away, you just need to dry the bread well.

    During this time, prepare the aromatic impregnation for the crackers: mix vegetable oil and spices in a bowl - in this case I used a freshly ground mixture of peppers. Next, add salt and previously peeled garlic squeezed through a garlic press. You can adjust the amount of garlic and spices and add as much as you like.

    Remove the homemade toasted black bread crumbs from the oven. Add the prepared spice-butter mixture to them, mix well and put the croutons back in the oven.

    When the homemade spiced croutons are lightly browned, remove them from the oven, cool and serve. Crackers should not be overcooked - you need to carefully monitor this, because black bread burns quickly and imperceptibly. There is no exact time indicated, because it will depend on the operating characteristics of your oven.

A practical recipe. With these croutons the soup is delicious and goes well with beer. I would add more aromatic herbs, as in this recipe, but it depends on the taste and color...

Lately we've been enjoying adding croutons to our soup. And homemade crackers are much better than store-bought ones, they are natural and fresh. I made a portion of this snack according to the recipe for crackers from black bread with garlic in the oven. For this I took a small loaf of rye bread from a private bakery. The bread itself turned out to be delicious, but in the form of crackers it’s just a bomb! I cut the loaf into slices and them into sticks. Dried for about 15 minutes until it smelled characteristic. During this time, I made a dressing from sunflower oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder and ground pepper. I tried to pour the dressing evenly over the crackers so that all the cubes got the spices. Bake for another 10 minutes. The aroma filled the entire kitchen) The crackers turned out delicious, crispy, and spicy. We added them to soup and ate them just like that, even with tea)
