  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Prepare the batter. Mix the dry ingredients - flour and spices.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Then gradually pour in the milk and stir until smooth. The batter should turn out like thick sour cream so that the batter envelops the banana pieces.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the bananas and cut into 1 cm wide pieces.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place banana slices into the batter and stir until the batter coats each piece.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Heat a frying pan with oil and lay out the pakoras, while trying to grab the batter from the bottom with a spoon. Fry until golden brown.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Then turn over and fry on the other side.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Ready-made pakoras should be placed on a napkin or towel and blotted on top to remove excess oil.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

If you wish, you can sprinkle the pakoras with powdered sugar, but personally, the sweetness of bananas is enough for me. Bon appetit!

A great treat for children! I prepared pakoras for a holiday in kindergarten, everyone was incredibly happy! To thicken the batter, you can add 1 teaspoon of semolina to the dough; at first it spread and did not stick well to the fruit. Bananas create a very delicate taste! But I also experimented with oranges. To prevent juicy citrus from releasing juice during frying and ruining the entire dish, squeeze it slightly after slicing. And then dip it in the batter. The result is amazing!!!

CHERRY, thank you for your review, I’m glad you liked the recipe. I should try it with oranges too. I read that the thickness of the batter varies depending on the fruits, vegetables used and the water content in them.
