Baked lamb ham with honey glaze
Soft juicy meat in a sweet glaze - perfect for the New Year! Mint sauce goes great with this lamb.
Lamb can be taken either on the bone or without it.
Country-style potatoes baked in the oven with spices are a good side dish.

Step-by-step preparation
Cooking time: 2 hr
STEP 1
Measure out ingredients.
STEP 2
Peel the garlic and cut lengthwise into 2 parts. Cut the thyme stems into 2-3 parts.
STEP 3
Wash the lamb and dry it. Using a knife, make punctures all over the surface of the meat and stuff with garlic and thyme.
STEP 4
Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
STEP 5
Bake for 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 220°C.
STEP 6
Glaze.
STEP 7
Combine wine with honey, bring to a boil and cook, stirring, over low heat for 7 minutes.
STEP 8
Pour the glaze over the lamb and return to the oven for another 25-30 minutes at 180°C, periodically pouring juice from the bottom of the pan.
STEP 9
Cover the finished meat with foil and let it rest in a warm place for 10 minutes. Then cut into slices.
