Apple pudding

The whole family will love this delicious pudding with aromatic apples! This apple pudding, the recipe for which I found on a forum dedicated to Irish cuisine, can be prepared in about half an hour. It is cut into portions and served as a separate meal, topped with vanilla gravy. This is usually eaten warm.

This was my first time making apple pudding. I peeled the apples for him, cut them into slices, and placed them in a greased and floured frying pan. Combined flour and sugar, mixed, added butter and rubbed into crumbs with your hands. I like this dough consistency, so I didn’t increase the amount of butter. I didn’t have oatmeal, nutmeg or cinnamon, I didn’t add them. I kept the pudding in the oven at 220° until the dough was browned. The pudding came out tender and very tasty, with juicy apples and a sweet crispy dough. My apples were a little sour, but in combination with the shortbread dough it turned out great - there was a bright contrast of sour and sweet. We ate the pudding very quickly, we really liked it! Thank you very much!

Delicious!!! The dough is shortbread, the apples are tender, the appearance is beautiful. Two notes on the recipe: 1) apples come in different sizes. Apparently mine were large, and 5 apples were lost from the entire initial pile. 2) You really need more than 3 tablespoons of oil.
