    Heat the milk to forty degrees. It should be warm, but not scalding. Add yeast and a tablespoon of sugar. Stir the dough and leave to rise for 10 minutes in a warm place.

    A foamy cap with a pronounced yeasty smell should appear on the dough. This means that the yeast is of high quality and you can continue working with it. If the cap does not appear, then you will need to replace the yeast.

    Add salt and remaining sugar to the yeast in a bowl. Sift the flour. Please note that you may need more or less flour than I did. Focus on the consistency of the dough.

Hello. First of all, thank you for the recipe, everything is strictly according to the recipe, from myself: a little less poppy seeds, a little more flour, mixed the yolk with vegetable oil. I baked buns for the first time in my life, they turned out very well, aromatic, tasty, not sweet, a little crispy. Suitable for breakfast with butter or chocolate and on its own. Indicating that the dough is anti-stress helped to understand the consistency, but after an hour of fermentation it was not indicated whether to knead again. These buns are ready when the tops are browned. Bake at 180C for 15 minutes. I am attaching a photo report.

Thank you very much to the author. The proportions are perfect. I didn't even add flour. I have a version of the pie filled with dried apricots. The baking is fluffy, I plan to bake a roll with nuts from this dough.

The second day I bake buns, but this time in double volume. Yesterday's ones have already been eaten. Today is a photo report of the dough after an hour of fermentation. The dough does not stick to your hands, it is easy to knead, smells fragrant, and looks beautiful because of the poppy seeds.
