STEP 1

How to make yeast dough for flatbreads? Measure out the necessary products. Use unscented vegetable oil. Adjust the amount of sugar to taste depending on what kind of flatbread you want (sweet or savory).
STEP 2

To knead the dough, take a spacious bowl, keeping in mind that the dough will increase in volume. Sift flour into it so that the flour is enriched with oxygen. Thanks to this, the dough will rise easily and the baked goods will turn out fluffy and airy. Since flour has different properties, you may need more or less of it. To prevent the dough from becoming too steep, set aside 30-40 grams. flour separately. We will add it when kneading the dough as needed.
STEP 3

Add dry ingredients to flour: salt, sugar and yeast. Mix everything well.
STEP 4

Make a well in the flour, pour in water and vegetable oil.
STEP 5

Mix everything first with a spoon.
STEP 6

Then add the reserved sifted flour in small portions, while mixing the dough with your hands and controlling its consistency. Do not add too much flour so that the dough does not turn out tight and heavy.
STEP 7

The dough should be soft, pliable, and almost not stick to your hands. Cover the dough with a towel or cling film and leave to rise in a warm place.
STEP 8

The rising time of the dough will depend on the air temperature and the activity of the yeast. It rose for me in about an hour. The dough increased in volume by 2-2.5 times. You can start cutting it and forming cakes.
STEP 9

The flatbreads can be baked in the oven or fried in a frying pan. I chose the first option. The cakes turned out fluffy and soft. Good luck with your baking!
