STEP 1

How to make whey bread in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Heat the whey until warm. In a warm environment, the yeast will begin to work more actively. Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to saturate it with oxygen. Sifting will make the dough softer and fluffier. My sour cream is 15% fat.
STEP 2

To prepare the dough, take a spacious bowl so that it is convenient to knead the dough. Pour warm whey into the bowl. Add sugar and dry yeast. Mix until sugar and yeast dissolve.

Add sour cream to the bowl. Stir.
STEP 4

Add salt and gradually add sifted flour and begin kneading the dough. At first it is convenient to do this with a whisk. Then take a wooden spatula. When the dough becomes denser, continue kneading it with your hands. You may need a little more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Guide it by its consistency.
STEP 5

The finished dough is soft and does not stick to your hands. Roll it into a ball and leave it in the bowl. Cover with a towel and place in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours to rise.

The dough works great when warm. Punch down the dough.

Remove the dough from the bowl and use your hands to stretch it into a rectangle.

Grease a bread pan with vegetable oil and place the dough into it. Brush the top of the dough with whey or milk. Leave to stand for 10-20 minutes.

Don't wait for the dough to reach the edges of the pan. It will rise even more in the oven. Place the bread in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 35-40 minutes.
STEP 11

The finished bread will turn golden brown, and a delicious aroma will spread throughout the kitchen. Remove the finished bread from the mold, wrap it in a towel and cool. Bon appetit!
