Cooking time: 1 hr 10 mins
STEP 1
Ingredients.

Dissolve fruit syrup in a small glass of freshly heated tea.
STEP 3
Dissolve honey in tea.
STEP 4
Stir in vegetable oil.
STEP 5
Add flour, mix. Mix until the pancake dough becomes thick, or slightly higher. You may need a little less or more flour, depending on the consistency of the dough. Read about the properties of flour in a separate article at the end of the recipe.
STEP 6
Place a spoonful of batter into a waffle iron preheated to high temperature. Close. Bake for three minutes.
STEP 7
The finished wafer is golden in color.
STEP 8
Roll a hot waffle into a tube
STEP 9
or a horn or a flower.
STEP 10
If desired, fill the waffles with cream.
STEP 11

Lenten waffles are a great solution on fasting days for those who have a waffle iron! Instead of fruit syrup, I used cherry jam syrup, so the color of the waffles turned out to be a darkish shade. But this, naturally, did not affect the taste.
