It is not allergenic, unlike chicken, which is why turkey is the first to be introduced into complementary foods for small children, and is also allowed to be eaten by nursing mothers. Turkey can be used to prepare many dishes. And the simplest and fastest, in addition healthy and tasty, is turkey baked with potatoes in the oven. You can bake it whole or use fillets and other parts of the carcass. It turns out: both the meat and the side dish are cooked at the same time, quickly and tasty.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Let's prepare the ingredients. If the dish is being prepared for a large family, then you can cook a whole turkey, either whole or cut into portions. For a small meal, you can take turkey fillet or meat with bones. It is still more convenient to cut the sirloin into pieces; the dish is prepared faster and it turns out healthier.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the turkey loin meat, cut it into small pieces, and rinse again under running water.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the potatoes, peel them and cut them into large cubes or slices, as you prefer. Wash the potatoes again and put them in a bowl. Add spices to taste: salt and ground pepper. If desired, you can add any dry herbs or spices for the bird.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Peel the onions and cut them into small cubes with a knife. Place pieces of chopped turkey in a bowl with potatoes. We send chopped onions there. Pour in a few tablespoons of olive oil. If desired, olive oil can be replaced with sunflower or some other oil, but with the former it turns out even healthier and tastier.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a spoon or your hands so that both the meat and potatoes are saturated with spices and oil. Leave for 15 minutes at room temperature. Place the meat and potatoes in a baking dish. Cover it with foil on top. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place the pan with the dish in it for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for about 10 minutes. Let the potatoes and turkey lightly brown on top.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Take out the dish, sprinkle chopped fresh herbs on top and serve. Bon appetit!
