  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make a finger-licking tomato salad for the winter? Take the products from the list: tomatoes (preferably strong, medium-sized fruits of different colors), onions, sunflower oil, salt, sugar, vinegar and spices. Rinse all vegetables well. Sterilize the jars in advance in any way convenient for you. Read more about this in a separate article at the link at the end of the recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Cut the onion into large half rings or quarter rings if the onions are large. Tomatoes into halves or quarters.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Pour water into the pan, add sugar and salt. Over medium heat, bring the marinade to a boil, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar and salt crystals. Pour in the vinegar, stir and immediately turn off the heat

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

First add a couple of peppercorns to the bottom of sterile jars, then add a layer of onion.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place tomatoes on top of onions.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Place so as not to crush the tomatoes. Add onion slices in between.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Add a bay leaf on top and pour over the hot marinade. Pour water into a large saucepan, cover the bottom with a cloth and place over medium heat. Place the jars with the preparation in the pan. The water level should reach the hangers of the cans. Sterilize jars in boiling water for about 10-15 minutes (liter).

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Close the jars with sterile lids, turn them upside down and cover with a blanket. When the jars have cooled, store them in a cool place. Happy cooking and bon appetit!
