Tomato ketchup on paste with sugar and mustard

Delicious, simple and healthy! A little spicy and sour :-). My family doesn't like store-bought ketchup, so I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting homemade sauce recipes. Here is one of many options.

    Dilute tomato paste in boiled water. Put the mixture on high heat.

    Add salt and sugar while stirring continuously.

    Peel and chop the onion

    Add the onion, bring to a boil and reduce the heat to low. Stir regularly.

    Add pepper, cloves, dill (if you have dried dill) and 2 tbsp. vinegar. Leave the boil on low heat for 40-45 minutes, stirring from time to time.

    3 minutes before the end of cooking, add chopped garlic and dill

    Turn off the heat, add the bay leaf and mustard, cover with a lid and let it brew for 7 minutes, then add the remaining vinegar and stir. If you want to make preparations for the winter, you need to pour the ketchup into sterile jars and close them with sterile lids using a special key. You can also simply pour it into a jar and store it in the refrigerator without preservation for 5-6 days.
