  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Prepare the necessary products to make finger-licking squash for the winter: the squash itself, dill (whatever you have: twigs or umbrellas), garlic (optional), mustard seeds (I took white), allspice peas, you will also need salt and sugar for the marinade , vinegar 9%, water. Useful information about winter preparations can be found in the link at the end of this recipe.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Place spices, peeled garlic and dill at the bottom of a clean jar. Other spicy additives to suit your taste will also be useful in such a preparation, for example, cherry leaves, currants, horseradish. You will learn how to sterilize jars by reading an article on this topic. The link is at the end of the recipe.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Wash the squash thoroughly, cut into slices, removing the tails and place as tightly as possible in the jar. Pour boiling water over it and cover with a sterile lid. Let stand for 15 minutes, then pour the water into the pan, boil again and refill again. Leave for 15 minutes again. And then drain the water into the pan again, add sugar and salt. Bring to a boil.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add vinegar directly to the jar. Pour boiling brine over the squash and seal tightly with a lid. Turn it over and keep it wrapped in a warm blanket until it cools completely. You can store such a seam in an apartment without any problems.

I was unexpectedly treated to squash. And I really love them pickled, so I found a recipe for finger-licking squash for the winter and immediately sealed it in jars. My two rather large squash fit into two liter jars. I cut the fruits into pieces like a pie and removed the seeds. I placed the pieces tightly, added garlic, allspice and parsley (I don’t like dill). The squash itself is hard, especially the peel, so I poured boiling water over it twice. On the third, I filled it with brine and vinegar and rolled it up with a key. I think my squash will turn out very crispy and tasty!
