This time I didn’t have the best part for baking - the shank. The more sinewy and older the meat, the longer it should be marinated and baked. Rinse the meat under running water, dry with paper towels or napkins. Place in a bowl.

    Peel the garlic and cut into slices. Using a sharp knife, make small cuts throughout the meat and insert the garlic slices into them.

    Rub the meat evenly on all sides with salt and dry spices. We must try to ensure that all the meat is covered with spices and salt.

    Pour some of the oil over the meat, turn it over and pour out the remaining oil. It is believed that thanks to the oil, the meat will heat up evenly and therefore cook better. Cover the meat with film and put it in the refrigerator to marinate. The marinating time will depend on what cut of beef was chosen. My “shank” stayed in the refrigerator all night. During marinating, the meat can be carefully turned over several times.

    Remove the marinated meat and place it top down on a double layer of foil. Wrap with foil and place in the oven (in a baking dish or baking sheet). Turn the oven on 180 degrees. Bake the beef for two hours.

The dish, tender beef in foil, fully lives up to its name. The meat turned out so tender and tasty that the recipe is definitely now in my piggy bank and I will cook it again and again. I stuffed the meat with garlic slices, rubbed it with spices and butter and put it in the refrigerator to marinate overnight. Wrapped in foil and baked in the oven at 180° for 2 hours. I tried it hot, but mostly the meat was cooked as slices when it cooled down. Delicious both hot and cold. Thanks to Anna for the recipe for an amazingly delicious dish!
