STEP 1
How to make tender beef in foil? Prepare the indicated products according to the list. Meat must be taken fresh, not frozen. You can use any spices that will make the dish tasty and aromatic. I will cook with black and red ground pepper, nutmeg, cumin, and salt. I take 3 cloves of garlic, you can take more or less. Vegetable oil, odorless. Prepare foil and baking dish.
STEP 2
Particular attention should be paid to the meat itself. It is better, of course, to take veal, back or neck. If there is none, then use what you have. This time I didn’t have the best part for baking - the shank. The more sinewy and older the meat, the longer it should be marinated and baked. Rinse the meat under running water, dry with paper towels or napkins. Place in a bowl.
STEP 3
Peel the garlic and cut into slices. Using a sharp knife, make small cuts throughout the meat and insert the garlic slices into them.
STEP 4
Rub the meat evenly on all sides with salt and dry spices. We must try to ensure that all the meat is covered with spices and salt.
STEP 5
Pour some of the oil over the meat, turn it over and pour out the remaining oil. It is believed that thanks to the oil, the meat will heat up evenly and therefore cook better. Cover the meat with film and put it in the refrigerator to marinate. The marinating time will depend on what cut of beef was chosen. My “shank” stayed in the refrigerator all night. During marinating, the meat can be carefully turned over several times.
STEP 6
Remove the marinated meat and place it top down on a double layer of foil. Wrap with foil and place in the oven (in a baking dish or baking sheet). Turn the oven on 180 degrees. Bake the beef for two hours.
STEP 7
Remove the beef in foil from the oven. Let cool slightly, open and cut into portions. The meat is perfect as a main dish for dinner, and will also be an excellent alternative to sausage for sandwiches.
