  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make Mojito tea? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can adjust the amount of sugar, lemons and mint according to your taste. The larger the lemon, the more pronounced the taste of the drink. If your lemons are small, it is better to take 2 pieces. You can replace sugar with honey or another sweetener that is suitable for heat treatment.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Since the lemon is used with the peel, rinse the fruit thoroughly, scrub with a brush and rinse again. Cut the lemon in half and cut into slices. If you want a more pronounced lemon taste, you can cut half the lemon into slices and squeeze the juice from the other half.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Rinse the mint. Tear off the leaves from the branches. Crush the leaves with your hands so they release the juice.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Pour clean water into a saucepan and bring to a boil. How to avoid bitterness in the drink? Bitterness is imparted by the white layer between the pulp itself and the zest. The thinner this layer is, the less bitterness there will be. Therefore, choose fruits with thin skin. If you see that the white layer is thick, then it is better to use only yellow zest and lemon juice. The bitterness doesn’t bother me, so I added whole lemon slices.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place lemon slices and mint in a teapot. Add sugar. If the teapot is made of thin glass, like mine, you should first rinse it with hot (not boiling) water before adding the ingredients.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour boiling water into the kettle, trying to pour the water exactly into the center. If you pour on the walls, they may crack. Leave the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes under the lid. Add more sugar if necessary.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Pour the finished tea into cups and serve. Bon appetit!

The other day I saw a new recipe for mojito tea on my feed and decided that I would definitely make it. Moreover, there are lemons and two types of mint growing in the garden) I brewed tea right in the morning, and then enjoyed a cup of this aromatic drink all day. For tea I took a 500 ml porcelain teapot. It seemed to me that a whole large lemon would be too much, so I took five mugs to suit my taste, which is half a whole lemon. And I chose peppermint, it has a menthol flavor, great for the heat. I liked this tea better after it cooled, it is wonderfully refreshing. And the aroma is simply magical! Only after cooling it is advisable to remove the lemons, otherwise the infusion will turn out sour. I put lemon slices and fresh mint leaves in a cup. By the way, the tea itself turned out to be a delicate yellowish tint) Now I’ll try adding green tea to the kettle, I think it will work out well. Thanks for the recipe!

I made mojito tea today. The drink is prepared simply and quickly. I took half a lemon and one small lime. I have dried mint. The tea turned out amazing: aromatic, with a bright taste. The drink is good both hot and cold. The tea was drunk instantly, so I immediately prepared more. The whole family, young and old, is happy. Maria, thank you very much for the recipe!
