  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to steam liver? Take the necessary ingredients for cooking.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Soak the liver in milk for 2 hours. If you don't have time, you can skip this step, but in my opinion, the soaked liver becomes softer, juicier and more tender.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the onion, wash it, chop it finely.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the carrots, after which they need to be peeled and grated on a coarse grater.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, add onion and fry until transparent.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Add carrots to the pan. Fry everything together over low heat, stirring for 10 minutes.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Rinse the liver well, remove films, veins, and ducts if present. Cut the liver into small pieces.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Place fried vegetables on top of the liver. Add all the spices and stir.

  9. STEP 9

    STEP 9

Pour water into the multicooker bowl (see the instructions for your appliance). Take a mold that will fit into the slow cooker (double boiler). It can be either a special form, or simply heat-resistant, glass, plastic, porcelain. Place the liver and vegetables in it. Place the mold inside the multicooker (steamer).

  10. STEP 10

    STEP 10

Set the steam mode for 40 minutes. Steam the liver for the indicated time. Please note that cooking time depends on the characteristics of your technique and may vary up or down. Focus on your multicooker.

  11. STEP 11

    STEP 11

Serve the finished liver with any side dishes; I think it goes best with buckwheat. Before serving, decorate the dish beautifully with fresh herbs. Try it! Bon appetit!

The website also has an excellent option for beef liver in milk, cream and soy sauce.

I was looking for liver recipes on my favorite website. I liked this recipe, it was simple, quick, and delicious. I steamed the liver, but instead of beef liver I used pork liver. I salted and peppered the liver, and added ground paprika and nutmeg myself. Fry the vegetables in oil until golden brown and soft. I mixed pieces of liver with fried vegetables and put them in a container for steaming. I cooked it for half an hour in a slow cooker in the “steam” mode. A very flavorful dish. The steamed liver turned out soft and tender, and also healthy. I’ve never steamed liver before, I really liked this option. I will now cook healthy liver dishes more often and recommend them to everyone! Many thanks to the author!

Hello! Please clarify, 40 minutes of cooking is just after turning on the multicooker or only from the moment the water boils? Thank you!
