Simple beef gravy with meat broth
Even a young housewife can handle this dish. As a child, my mother always cooked this meat with a very tasty gravy. Any side dish will suit it, be it cereals, pasta or vegetables.

Step-by-step preparation
Cooking time: 1 hr 40 mins
STEP 1
How to make stew and gravy? Prepare your ingredients.
STEP 2
Cut the meat into pieces.
STEP 3
Peel the carrots, finely chop
STEP 4
Mix flour with salt and pepper.
STEP 5
Pour 2 tbsp into the meat. l. flour, mix.
STEP 6
Fry the meat in vegetable oil until golden brown and remove from the pan. At this stage, if desired, you can add pre-finely chopped onions.
STEP 7
Add the remaining flour to the pan.
STEP 8
Pour in the hot broth while stirring constantly.
STEP 9
Return the meat to the pan and simmer over low heat, covered, for about 40 minutes.
STEP 10
Add carrots to the pan and stir. Simmer for another 30 minutes until the beef is tender.

I made stew with gravy for lunch - delicious, aromatic, very tender, you can eat it with your lips! They ate it with rice fried in butter. Yummy! The method of frying meat (I had pork) in flour seemed interesting. I used to think that in this case the meat would stick to the pan, but all my fears were in vain. The pieces were well browned, and then, drenched in meat broth, they became perfectly soft. I reduced the time for stewing the meat in the broth a little, cooking it for only 30 minutes, since pork is much softer than beef. I stewed the meat for the next 30 minutes, adding grated carrots.
