Shortbread cookies with sour cream and currant jam
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Keep the butter at room temperature until it melts. Place butter, eggs, sugar, sour cream, soda and all the flour in a mixing bowl. In general, all the ingredients for the dough.
STEP 2
Knead the thick dough. You can use a mixer with a bowl or your hands
STEP 3
We take two packages. Place a quarter of the entire contents of the bowl in one bag, and the rest of the dough in another bag. Place both bags in the freezer for an hour. If you remove the dough for a longer time, you can simply place it in the refrigerator.
STEP 4
Grease a baking tray with butter. Roll out a large piece of dough over it.
STEP 5
Spread currant jam on top. You can use any jam, but it’s better with sourness. From currants - the most ideal.
STEP 6
We take a small piece of dough out of the freezer, grate it and sprinkle the crumbs with jam. Bake cookies in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
STEP 7
Cut the finished cookies into squares or diamonds. It is easier to remove from the baking sheet when the cookies have cooled a little. Bon appetit!!!
