  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to make semolina casserole like in kindergarten? Very simple! To begin, prepare the ingredients according to the list. You can replace corn starch with wheat flour or potato starch, but use half as much. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste. You can replace sugar with any sweetener suitable for heat treatment.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour milk into a saucepan or saucepan, add sugar, vanilla sugar and salt and place over medium heat.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Before the milk boils, add semolina in a thin stream with constant stirring. If you pour semolina into boiling milk, lumps can quickly form. While stirring, cook the semolina porridge over low heat until thick. At the same time, make sure that the porridge does not burn on the bottom.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Remove the finished porridge from the heat and cool until warm. Add butter, egg and cornstarch.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Beat the mixture with a mixer until fluffy. This will give the casserole some airiness.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Add the semolina mixture and smooth it out. Brush the surface of the casserole with yolk.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the pan in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for about 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Times and temperatures are approximate; exact baking time will depend on the thickness of the casserole, the pan you choose and your technique. You can serve warm or cold, refrigerate for 5-6 hours.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Cut the finished casserole into pieces and serve, garnished with fresh fruit and mint. Bon appetit!

I made a semolina casserole for breakfast just like in kindergarten. I made the casserole for 4 servings. I added the egg to the CO category. The casserole was cooked in my oven for 35 minutes. For four servings, I still took a mold that was too large (26x17 cm), so the casserole was not as fluffy as I would have liked. But it tastes amazing! It is moderately sweet, very tender, and satisfying. And the fact that the casserole contains the simplest and most affordable ingredients makes it simply an ideal dish. Maria, thank you very much for the wonderful recipe. I will definitely make this casserole again.
