Sauerkraut stewed with chicken drumsticks

STEP 1

Let's prepare the necessary ingredients. The chicken needs to be cut into portioned pieces, I took thighs, drumsticks and chicken wings. If the cabbage is too sour or contains too much brine, it should be washed and squeezed.
STEP 2

In vegetable oil, quickly fry the chicken pieces on both sides until almost done, season with salt and pepper.
STEP 3

Transfer them to a plate for now.
STEP 4

Chop the onion into half rings
STEP 5

And fry in the fat that remains after the chicken.
STEP 6

Add the prepared cabbage and lightly fry it along with the onion.
STEP 7

Place the chicken pieces back into the pan, pour in beer and simmer for 5 minutes, covered. Stir and serve with mashed potatoes. I really liked both the juicy chicken itself and the cabbage that was stewed in such a fragrant sauce. A great dish for every day!
