Rice porridge with raisins and milk

STEP 1

How to cook rice porridge with raisins and milk? Prepare your food. Take uncooked, short-grain rice - it will boil better and faster. Milk is suitable for any fat content. Adjust the amount of sugar and salt to your taste; you can increase or decrease it. You can use cane sugar, then the porridge will acquire a caramel taste. In addition to raisins, you can add dried apricots and other dried fruits.
STEP 2

Rinse the raisins and pour boiling water over them. Leave it to stand for 10 minutes.
STEP 3

Then drain the water, rinse the raisins themselves again with cold water, placing them on a sieve. Leave it to drain.
STEP 4

Rinse the rice well under running cool water. Then put it in a saucepan and fill it with clean cold water. Place the saucepan on low heat. Add salt.
STEP 5

Cook the rice, stirring, until the water evaporates.
STEP 6

Then pour in milk, add sugar, stir. Continue cooking the porridge over low heat and stirring constantly, about 10 minutes.
STEP 7

Taste the rice to see if it's done. If it turns out to be hard, continue cooking. You can also add more milk if the porridge is too thick.
STEP 8

When the cereal is completely cooked, add raisins to the porridge and add butter. Turn off the heat, stir the porridge, cover the saucepan with a lid. Leave it to stand for 10-15 minutes.
STEP 9
