    While the onions are frying, prepare the required amount of rice. Rinse it several times in cold water. Then drain all the water using a colander.

    Add some salt and spices to the rice. To give the rice a beautiful yellow color, you can add a little turmeric. Mix everything well.

    Pour the required amount of hot water into the pan. Stir and bring to a boil. Then cover the pan with a lid, turn the heat to low and leave to cook for about 10-15 minutes. We need the cereal to absorb the liquid.

Rice side dish is probably our favorite. I just got tired of it just boiled, I wanted something more tasty. I found this recipe. It turned out that the rice is not only tasty, but also quick to prepare! I did everything according to the instructions. I took the rice for pilaf, it is not steamed, but holds its shape well and does not “explode”. I fried the onion, then fried everything a little along with rice, salt and spices so that the rice grains were saturated with fat and aromas. For spices I used a mixture of dried vegetables and herbs. The ratio of water and cereal is ideal. Bring the water to a boil and reduce the heat to low. In 15 minutes, the rice completely absorbed the moisture and became crumbly. By the way, this side dish is very reminiscent of pilaf! It is just as rich, the rice was soaked in oil, and the onions added juiciness, softness, and a caramel flavor. This is delicious! I recommend everyone try it if you are tired of regular rice.

A really great side dish for anything with the beautiful yellow color of turmeric, I also use curry. Here's a more traditional recipe for fluffy rice in a pan with butter, but no less tasty.

It’s very tasty, but for some reason I had to add half a glass of water. And also, due to my crookedness, I overdid it with turmeric and undersalted it (But even so it turned out delicious)
