It’s mid-May, it’s just summer heat outside. In the garden, a rhubarb bush spread burdock leaves. So what are we doing? Of course, we’re making rhubarb compote. While the water and sugar were boiling on the stove, I washed, peeled and cut the rhubarb petioles and lemon, and put them in the boiling water. After five minutes, I put the pan with compote off the heat. Now all that remains is to wait for the compote to cool down. Let's try! For my taste, the compote turned out to be ideal in both acidity and sweetness, this is exactly what a light, refreshing drink should sound like. And the aroma is very pleasant, unobtrusive. Thanks for the recipe, Maria!
