How to make red beans in a slow cooker? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Take red beans, rinse and soak in cold water for at least three hours, or better yet overnight.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

During soaking, the beans will swell and their skin will wrinkle or even burst; this is normal. Drain the discolored water, rinse the beans in water and place in the multicooker bowl. Pour in 500 milliliters of water. Select the "Cooking" program, cooking time - thirty minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

After this time, peel the onion and chop it into quarter rings. Wash the carrots in running water with a brush, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Transfer vegetables to beans.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the ripe tomato, remove the attachment point to the stalk and chop into cubes. Add to the multicooker bowl. If the water has evaporated, add a little more. If there is already enough water, you don’t need to add more. Tomatoes can be replaced with tomatoes in their own juice or tomato paste.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Finally, add dried parsley, salt and pepper to taste. You can add fresh chili pepper. Let the beans simmer for another hour on the “Stewing” or “Simmering” program. The time for cooking in a multicooker is approximate; be guided by the operating characteristics of your equipment. Place the finished beans on plates and serve. You can sprinkle chopped parsley, dill or cilantro on top. Bon appetit!

I made red beans in a slow cooker. So I haven’t cooked beans yet, it’s an interesting experience. My beans had been soaked since the evening, during which time they had swollen well. First, she stewed for half an hour alone, and then with vegetables. From the spices I took curry, paprika and black pepper. The second time I simmered it for an hour. Apparently I took a lot of water and the onions turned out a little boiled. Next time I will make sure there is a minimum of liquid. Both my husband and I liked the taste of this side dish. The beans became soft and soaked in vegetable juices. Thanks to the spices, the dish became spicy, slightly spicy. Good recipe, I will make it again.

I got to the beans! I did it in 2 stages. First I soaked it in water (16 hours - it just happened that way), then steamed it in a slow cooker according to the recipe. The beans turned out tender, although they looked the same. I expected the beans to start boiling, but no. Today I made a vegetable dressing: peeled tomatoes, peppers, carrots and onions. When stewing in a frying pan, I poured 20 tablespoons of heart broth into the vegetables, before adding the boiled beans, I put a piece of butter - literally 25 grams for the “smell”. I served it with chopped boiled pork heart and green mushrooms. Delicious! You'll swallow your tongue!
