Raspberries with sugar without cooking
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make raspberries with sugar without cooking for the winter? Prepare everything you need. First sort out the raspberries and clean them of twigs and leaves that may accidentally fall in during picking. If necessary, the berries can be washed. To do this, it is recommended to immerse them in cold water with added salt (1 tablespoon per liter of water) for 10 minutes, this will cleanse them of possible insects and other contaminants. Then drain the water, rinse the berries and dry well.
STEP 2
I didn’t wash the raspberries, I just sorted them out. Grind the berries in a blender in parts. You can also use a regular masher for this, since raspberries are a rather delicate berry.
STEP 3
Place the resulting berry puree into a clean bowl of suitable size and add sugar.
STEP 4
Mix everything well with a wooden or silicone spatula.
STEP 5
Leave the berry mass on the table until the sugar is completely dissolved. To speed up the process, you can stir the berries periodically.
STEP 6
Wash the jars in which the raspberries and sugar will be stored, as well as the lids, and be sure to sterilize them. This is necessary for better preservation of fresh berries. I steam sterilize using a sterilizer attachment (you can also use a sieve, wire rack or colander on which you place the jars over a pan of boiling water). Jars with a volume of 0.5-0.75 l are sterilized for 10 minutes
STEP 7
Be sure to dry sterilized jars and lids on a clean towel. Fill the jars with the berry mixture and close the lids. Fresh raspberries with sugar are ready for the winter without cooking. Store the preparation in the refrigerator.
STEP 8
In winter, the preparation can be used to make desserts, baked goods, serve with pancakes, pancakes, cheesecakes or casseroles. For useful information about the intricacies of preparing preparations for the winter, read the article at the end of this recipe. Bon appetit!
