Quince jam with orange
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
Prepare all the ingredients needed to make jam. The weight of quince is indicated along with skins and cores.
STEP 2
Wash the quince thoroughly, peel and remove the core. Pour water over the peel and core, put on fire and boil for 20 minutes. While the peelings are boiling, cut the quince into cubes or slices.
STEP 3
Strain the boiled peelings, pour them over the chopped quince, place on the stove and boil for 15 minutes, after boiling, drain the liquid. Add sugar to the liquid and cook the syrup after boiling for 5 minutes. Pour hot syrup over the quince, cover the pan with a lid and leave for 12 hours.
STEP 4
Wash the orange well and cut into small cubes along with the zest. Place the orange and juice in a saucepan with quince, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Pour hot jam into clean jars and roll up.
STEP 5
Delicious, healthy and aromatic quince jam with orange is ready! It can be stored both in the cellar and in the pantry at home; this jam is excellent. Have a delicious winter!
