STEP 1

How to bake puff pastry with cottage cheese from puff pastry? Prepare the products according to the list. It is advisable to take puff pastry in square sheets - you do not have to roll it out too much to get the desired shape and size. Thaw the dough in advance. Use cottage cheese that is not wet or dry, any fat content. Wash and dry the raw egg. Wipe it with a paper napkin.
STEP 2

Crack the egg into a separate bowl and beat it with a fork.
STEP 3

In another bowl, place cottage cheese, half a beaten egg, sugar and vanilla sugar.
STEP 4

Mash all ingredients in a bowl with a fork until smooth.
STEP 5

Place the puff pastry on the work surface of the table and lightly roll it into an even square. Cut the resulting layer of dough into 4 equal squares.
STEP 6

Make corner cuts in the corners of the squares as shown in the photo.
STEP 7

Place the curd filling in the middle of the dough squares. It is better to immediately divide it into equal parts - according to the number of puffs.
STEP 8

Connect the corners of the squares in pairs over the filling in the same way as in the photo. You can design the puffs differently, the way you like best. But for me, these look very beautiful!
STEP 9

Place the puff pastries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
STEP 10

Brush the puff pastries with the remaining half of the egg. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 190°C and bake for about 20 minutes. Determine the exact baking time and temperature based on your oven.
STEP 11

You can sprinkle the finished puff pastries with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
