Pork with soy sauce in onion gravy

A hearty meat snack for your everyday table! Such appetizing, juicy meat is very tasty with fresh, still warm bread. The dish is great on its own, as a stand-alone snack. But if you wish, you can add mashed potatoes, fresh or stewed vegetables.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare the dish, take a piece of pork, preferably a shoulder, with a little fat around the edge. Cut the pork into medium-sized pieces.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Heat the pan until hot. Pour in some vegetable oil. Fry the pork pieces on all sides until a delicious golden brown crust appears.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Peel the onion, rinse in cold water and cut into half rings. The more onions you take, the tastier and juicier the dish will be. It is best to use as much onion as you use meat. Then add the chopped onion to the meat. Stir. Fry everything together for 5-7 minutes.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Then add some soy sauce to the pan. Add salt to taste (but keep in mind that there is salt from soy sauce) and add dry spices. Stir. Do this carefully to avoid splashes of hot fat.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

If the meat is tough, add a little water. Then cover with a lid and simmer over low heat until the meat is cooked. This will take about 10-15 minutes. If you want the finished dish to have gravy, use more water. Ready meat goes well with any side dish. Bon appetit!
