    STEP 1

How to stew pork ribs with cabbage? Prepare your food. Try to choose pork ribs with layers of fat on them. Thanks to this, the finished dish will be more aromatic and tastier. Rinse the ribs well under running water and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut them along the bones into small pieces.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan and add the chopped ribs. Fry them on all sides until golden brown over medium heat.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

While the ribs are roasting, peel and wash the onion and carrots. Finely chop the onion. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Add chopped vegetables to the pan with the fried ribs. Stir and fry everything together for another 3-4 minutes.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Remove the top, weathered leaves from the cabbage. Cut the head of cabbage into 2 parts and chop one half with a sharp knife. Add the chopped cabbage to the frying pan. Stir and cover the pan with a lid. Reduce the heat and simmer the dish, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Add a little water to the pan if you suddenly see that the vegetables begin to fry.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Then add some tomato paste. Season to taste with salt and spices. You can use spices to your taste, but I recommend limiting yourself to ground pepper so as not to interrupt the main flavor of the dish. Stir and leave to simmer for another 20 minutes. Adjust the simmering time yourself, it will depend on the quality of the cabbage. Young cabbage cooks faster than old cabbage.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

The longer the cabbage is stewed, the better all the ingredients will be saturated with each other’s juice and aroma. However, determine the readiness of the cabbage according to your taste. Some people like it a little crunchy, while others like it completely soft. Remove the finished stewed cabbage with ribs from the heat and leave covered to let the dish steep. Then serve hot. Bon appetit!

I got delicious stewed pork ribs with cabbage using this recipe. First, I washed the ribs, dried them and rubbed them with salt and paprika. And then fried it until golden brown. The smell of fried meat is very appetizing, you already want to eat everything). I didn’t put the vegetables directly to the seeds, otherwise it wouldn’t be convenient to mix. So I took the ribs out onto a plate and lightly fried the onions, carrots and cabbage in a frying pan. Then I combined everything, added tomato paste and a little water. Now I stewed everything together for about half an hour, because my cabbage is tough. The young ones need to be simmered for less time and cut larger. During the cooking process, the cabbage was soaked in meat juice and became so tasty and tender! The ribs got their juiciness from the vegetables. This dish is hearty and good for dinner. Especially with homemade pickles. Very tasty! Thank you!
