Pollock stewed with carrots and onions in sour cream
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make pollock stewed with carrots and onions in sour cream? Prepare all ingredients. Wash and peel the carrots. Remove the skins from the onions, wash them and dry them.
STEP 2
Rinse the pollock well, remove any remaining entrails if you have it cut up. If not, then gut it. Cut off the tail and fins with scissors. Divide into portions. Place in a plate, add salt and pepper, and let it sit.
STEP 3
In the meantime, finely chop the onion and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
STEP 4
Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion a little. Add the carrots and simmer everything together for 3 minutes. If you want to get a more delicate taste, do not fry everything until it “tans”, just lightly simmer (simmer) the vegetables.
STEP 5
Remove the pan from the stove, sprinkle a thin layer of flour and immediately stir it into the resulting mass with a wooden spatula so that there are no lumps. Add water and stir lightly until the sauce is smooth. Add water by eye, just enough to lightly cover the vegetables.
STEP 6
Place the frying pan on the stove, bring to a boil and add sour cream. Mix everything again. You will get a delicious sour cream and vegetable sauce. Season it with salt and any spices.
STEP 7
Place pieces of pollock in this sauce, immersing each one. Pour the same sauce over the fish. If you think that there is not enough sauce, then add more sour cream or pour in a little water (to your taste). Don't forget to adjust the sauce for salt, taste and add salt if necessary. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat until done. That's all - a delicious lunch is ready!
