Poached egg in the microwave

Very simple, very fast, for the whole family! Poaching an egg in the microwave is quite easy and doesn’t take much time. It can be served not only for breakfast, but it also looks impressive if it is used to decorate or complement various dishes.

  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

How to poach an egg in the microwave? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Of course, it is better to take homemade eggs, preferably larger ones. Before use, check the egg for freshness: place the egg in a container of water at room temperature - a fresh egg will sink to the bottom, and a stale egg will rise to the top. Any 6-9% vinegar will do: apple vinegar, grape vinegar, or regular vinegar without additives will do.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

We will need ordinary water, preferably filtered, because... We will cook the egg without the shell directly in this water, so tap water will not work. Pour water into a container suitable for use in a microwave oven (such dishes should in no case contain metal parts or designs with glitter - they will spark). Also, the dishes should be deep enough. Add vinegar to the water and stir.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Stir with a spoon or fork or something else in a circle. Quite quickly, trying to create something like a whirlpool in the center - a funnel.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Wash the egg very well in running water and soda, it is best to even use a special brush, since there may be harmful bacteria on the surface of the egg. Gently beat in the egg, making sure to keep the yolk intact.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Put it in the microwave. Approximate cooking time: for a power of 1000 and above - 40 seconds will be enough, 800 - 1 minute, 600 - 1.5 minutes. I advise you to experiment with your appliance, since despite the simplicity of this recipe, the cooking time of the dish depends on both the specific model of the microwave and the number of cups (foods) in it. If the process goes too quickly, the egg may “explode” and the microwave will have to be washed.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

This is what a finished egg looks like after the microwave. Be careful not to burn your hands when removing the dishes from the microwave - they can be very hot! Our poached egg in the microwave in water is ready.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place the egg on a serving plate and only now add salt to taste.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Serve the poached egg made in the microwave with vinegar with fresh vegetables and herbs. It would also be very appropriate to add such an egg to a vegetable salad, thus decorating it. Or place it on top of a meat steak or a slice of bread. Bon appetit!

For me, this is a completely new and unusual way of preparing an egg. Microwave our power is 800 W. She poured water into a cup, added red wine vinegar, and beat in an egg. A minute later I checked and the egg was completely raw. I held it for another 30 seconds, it was also raw, but the yolk had already set. As a result, my egg took 2 minutes to cook. Interesting recipe, unusual to cook this way. But in the end I liked it. Now I know exactly how much time it takes for me to fully enjoy the taste of this dish. Thank you very much to the author for the recipe for Poached Eggs in the Microwave and for the experience gained!

I cooked a poached egg in the microwave for breakfast. Well, that’s where, but I definitely haven’t tried to cook a poached egg in the microwave yet. I came across this recipe on my favorite website and decided to try it. I took a bowl, poured clean water, dropped in 9% vinegar, didn’t make a funnel, but just gently beat the egg into the water. I put it in the microwave for 1 minute at a power of 800 W in microwave mode. But this was not enough, the protein was half set. I turned on the microwave for another 1 minute in that mode. Excellent result - the white set, the yolk remained liquid. And what a beautiful bag it turned out to be. This is the perfect poached egg recipe. No dirty dishes, simple preparation, delicious egg in a couple of minutes. This is now my favorite way to cook a poached egg. No problems at all, I didn’t even have to turn on the stove) I drained the water from the bowl, blotted the poached egg with a paper towel and put it on a slice of black bread. Lightly salted, sprinkled with freshly ground pepper and garnished with green onions. Fast, simple and incredibly tasty. I recommend this recipe! Many thanks to the author 😀
