  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

To prepare plums in their own juice for the winter, prepare ripe and dense plums.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Wash the plums, place them on a cloth and wait until they are completely dry.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

While the plums are drying, sterilize the jars and lids. For this amount of plums you will need three 1-liter jars or six half-liter jars.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Remove the pits from the plums.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Place the fruits tightly in jars.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

Pour water into a large saucepan, place a towel on the bottom or install a special grill for sterilization.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

Place jars of plums on a towel or wire rack; they should be up to their shoulders in water.

  8. STEP 8

    STEP 8

Cover the jars with lids. Place the pan on the stove. Once boiling, keep the jars of plums in boiling water for 15 minutes.

  9. STEP 9

Remove the jars from the water with special tongs and roll up with sterile lids.

  10. STEP 10

    Bon appetit!

I prepared plums according to this recipe using only 1 ingredient. Preparation of plums in their own juice for the winter is very simple and, importantly, without adding sugar. I chose a regular plum, tasty, sweet and hard. Peeled it and put it in jars. I used half liter jars for the preparation. I sterilized it as described in the recipe and rolled it up. The elementary recipe won me over. The preparation is excellent. Fast and easy. Yes, after sterilization there are fewer plums in the jar, so they need to be packed very tightly. Plums in their own juice without sugar stand well in the cellar. I want to use this plum preparation to make a pie. I'll add sugar to the filling to taste. Thanks to the author!
