Plum in its own juice
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
To prepare plums in their own juice for the winter, prepare ripe and dense plums.
STEP 2
Wash the plums, place them on a cloth and wait until they are completely dry.
STEP 3
While the plums are drying, sterilize the jars and lids. For this amount of plums you will need three 1-liter jars or six half-liter jars.
STEP 4
Remove the pits from the plums.
STEP 5
Place the fruits tightly in jars.
STEP 6
Pour water into a large saucepan, place a towel on the bottom or install a special grill for sterilization.
STEP 7
Place jars of plums on a towel or wire rack; they should be up to their shoulders in water.
STEP 8
Cover the jars with lids. Place the pan on the stove. Once boiling, keep the jars of plums in boiling water for 15 minutes.
STEP 9
Remove the jars from the water with special tongs and roll up with sterile lids.
STEP 10
Turn the jars of plums upside down and cover them with a blanket until they cool completely. The volume of plums in the jar will decrease - this is how it should be.
STEP 11
Bon appetit!
