Panna cotta with coconut milk
Ingredients
Step-by-step preparation
STEP 1
How to make panna cotta with coconut milk? Simple and fast. First, prepare all the necessary ingredients for dessert. I use coconut milk, but you can also cook with regular milk, oat milk, rice milk, etc. Or even replace the milk with richer cream 10-33%, but keep in mind that the calorie content of the dessert will change.
STEP 2
Break the white chocolate into small pieces. I already have ready-made chocolate drops.
STEP 3
Combine coconut milk, salt and gelatin in a saucepan. Leave the mixture for 5-10 minutes for the gelatin to swell. The density of your dessert depends on the amount of gelatin. If you make dessert in bowls, you can use less gelatin. If you need the dessert to be curly, like mine, and keep its shape, then take gelatin according to the recipe.
STEP 4
Place the saucepan over medium heat and, stirring, bring the mixture to a boil, but do not boil. Gelatin should completely dissolve. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
STEP 5
Place the broken white chocolate in a saucepan. Stir the mixture with a whisk until the chocolate is completely dissolved.
STEP 6
Pour the resulting mixture into silicone molds or bowls and place the dessert in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours until completely solidified. If you have a shaped dessert in silicone molds, then it is important that it hardens properly. Therefore, before removing it from the mold, check the consistency.
STEP 7
While the panna cotta is setting, prepare the sauce. I used red Sicilian oranges for the base. You can make the sauce from regular oranges or other citrus fruits, as well as any fruits and berries you like.
STEP 8
Peel one orange and divide into segments. Clean each segment from films. My video shows how to do this quickly.
STEP 9
Squeeze the juice from the second orange.
STEP 10
Combine orange juice and sugar in a saucepan. Boil, stirring, over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
STEP 11
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add vanilla and stir immediately. Cool the resulting sauce.
STEP 12
Place the frozen panna cotta from the silicone mold into the middle of the plate.
STEP 13
Pour orange sauce around and arrange fresh orange slices.
STEP 14
Arrange the rest of the portions in the same way and serve the dessert, garnishing with mint. Bon appetit!
