  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

    Ingredients

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Peel and remove white films from oranges. Divide into slices, getting rid of partitions.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Place the slices into the bowl of a blender.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

    Grind.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Pour the orange puree into a large microwave-safe bowl. Add sugar and lime juice (the amount of sugar depends on the taste of the orange; the sweeter the oranges, the less sugar you need). Mix thoroughly. Place in the microwave at 800 W for 7 minutes. (during heating, the orange mass will foam very much, so the container should have high sides)

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

After 7 minutes, take out the bowl and stir. Place the jam in the microwave again for 5 minutes at the same power.

  7. STEP 7

    STEP 7

If after 5 minutes the jam seems too liquid to you, you can put it back in the microwave for another couple of minutes, but do not forget that the jam will thicken a little as it cools. Let the jam cool, stirring from time to time, transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator.

    Bon appetit!

I didn't have lime, I used lemon, so I increased the amount of juice. Cooked longer than indicated to achieve desired thickness. Two large oranges made two small jars. For me, this is a big plus - jam can be prepared according to your mood and quickly deal with it)) I made and tried orange jam for the first time, I liked that it was not cloyingly sweet, but even had a slight bitterness, as if made from grapefruit. Thanks for the original recipe, Irisha.

Oh, Irisha, such jam is easy to prepare with fresh buns for breakfast, and then it’s healthy, you don’t need to prepare it for future use, why, when in a few minutes we get an excellent product! What if the orange is very sweet? then you don’t need sugar (that’s already for me), right? I'll do that)))

Shura, I really hope you like the jam! I really don’t know how it will be without sugar at all, it probably won’t turn out so thick, tell me how it turned out

Irisha, having seen your gorgeous orange jam in an equally gorgeous jar yesterday, was inflamed with a passion for it and, barely waiting for the morning, decided to make it. But suddenly I remembered that the jam is prepared in a microwave, which I don’t have. Well, I think we mere mortals shouldn’t have such jam, so I decided to make it using the old fashioned method. I peeled 3 oranges, 0.5 lemons and, as in your recipe, beat it in a blender, put it not in a bowl but in a saucepan , put it on the stove and cook, stirring for 5.1020.40 minutes, added sand, but it still didn’t become transparent, I finished off the poor jam when it started to burn and then I thought: “No, Anahit, you mere mortal cannot handle orange jam without a microwave." Well, Irisha, this is what came out of 3 oranges (it would be better if I ate them like that). And for some reason I remembered a phrase from the film “Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession” - “Overseas caviar - eggplant” Well, in my case “Jem orange - overseas" And I am writing to those who, like me, decided to make such jam without a microwave. Unless, of course, you have an orange grove somewhere in Morocco or Brazil

OH, Anahit, I was thinking that it should have worked out on the stove too, maybe then for the stove it would be better to use pure squeezed juice and immediately cook it with sugar, like syrup?
