  1. STEP 1

    STEP 1

Boil chicken eggs hard. Then cool them under running cold water and grate them on a fine grater. Crab sticks and processed cheese (the cheese should be from the freezer) also on a fine grater. Place all ingredients in a deep container and mix.

  2. STEP 2

    STEP 2

Now add a little mayonnaise, a clove of garlic, passed through a garlic press and a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients again until the mixture becomes homogeneous and sticky. Attention! You should not add a lot of mayonnaise to this appetizer, as this will make it more difficult to shape the snowman and it may end up uneven.

  3. STEP 3

    STEP 3

Make round balls from the resulting crab snack. All balls should be different sizes: the bottom ball is the largest, the middle one is slightly smaller, and the top one is slightly smaller than the middle one and two more are very small. We coat all the balls with cream cheese so that in the end the snowman is really white. Then roll each ball in a coconut mug.

  4. STEP 4

    STEP 4

Place the balls on a board covered with cling film. We also cover them with film and put them in the freezer for a while. Then, when they harden, we take them out and begin to form the snowman himself. To do this, place the balls on top of each other (3 pieces), starting from large to small. To strengthen the structure, we fasten them with toothpicks. Now we install two more toothpicks on the sides of the middle ball and attach the smallest balls to them.

  5. STEP 5

    STEP 5

Decorating a snack snowman. To do this, we form a triangular sharp nose from carrots. Take a feather of green onion and wrap it between the top and middle balls - you get a scarf. You can secure the scarf with a clove. We make a hat from a piece of rye bread, making two circles: one larger, the other smaller, and placing them on the top coconut ball. Install the eyes using black peppercorns. Next, decorate the snowman as you wish.

  6. STEP 6

    STEP 6

When the snowman is fully formed, it must be placed in the freezer. The appetizer should be taken out 15-20 minutes before serving it.

In preparation for the New Year's holidays, I decided to practice and make a crab snack in the shape of a snowman using this recipe. I collected all the ingredients from the list. I grated crab sticks, eggs and melted cheese on a medium grater and seasoned with mayonnaise. Salad ready. I made balls with wet hands, greased them with soft cheese, rolled them in coconut flakes and put them in the freezer for 45 minutes. I connected the balls with toothpicks. I decorated it as described in the recipe, only I made the buttons from pomegranate seeds. I cut out a hat from Borodino bread. A scarf made of green onions, a cool idea to secure the scarf with a clove. The nose is a carrot, the eyes are black peppercorns. The New Year's snowman snack looks very impressive. I will definitely make it for the holiday table. It's very easy to cook. By the way, the salad is very tasty; the garlic complements the taste well. I advise everyone to cook it too. Many thanks to the author 😊

Oh what a cool Snowman!!! Lovely! But I’ll probably roll it in grated cheese or something else... I’ll have to come up with something... Otherwise I’m used to using coconut flakes more in sweets... Pirko Rita Thanks for the idea!
